Why I Joined

- What made you decide to join WeLearn?

After my family grew, I started to worry that my previous work style—with long commutes and overtime—left me very little time with my child. When I learned that WeLearn offers fully remote work, I was immediately interested. I was also drawn to the fact that even someone without hands-on experience could challenge themselves as an engineer, which led me to join the company.

02

My Work

- What kind of work are you currently involved in?

I am involved in Salesforce Flow development and LMS implementation projects. The work ranges from technical development to more consulting-oriented tasks, so there is always something new to learn. I really enjoy collaborating with people from different departments.

- What do you value most in your work?

Based on my experience in customer support at my previous job, I always try to think from the customer’s perspective. Rather than simply solving problems, I focus on building trust and ensuring customer satisfaction, which I believe leads to better results.

- What has been the most memorable experience in your work so far?

Shortly after joining the company, I was assigned to a development task despite having almost no experience. I was very anxious at first, but with the careful support of senior members, I gradually became able to handle the work smoothly. That experience gave me a great deal of confidence.

About WeLearn

- What makes WeLearn unique?

One of WeLearn’s biggest strengths is the freedom it offers. You can work from anywhere and easily adjust your working hours or take time off. Even though we are fully remote, there are plenty of opportunities to communicate with colleagues, making it easy to chat casually or ask for advice.

- What are your colleagues like?

Everyone is incredibly reliable and supportive, so I always feel secure knowing help is available when I need it. Many colleagues are also very kind, which makes the team a pleasant place to work.

- How is your work–life balance?

Overtime is rare and taking time off is easy, so I can spend quality time with my family and also make time for myself.

Message

- Finally, do you have a message for those considering joining WeLearn?

This is an environment where you can advance your career while valuing your own lifestyle. I would recommend WeLearn not only to those who want to challenge themselves in the IT industry, but also to experienced engineers who want to further develop their skills.

A Typical
Day

9:00

Start Work

I make a cup of hot chocolate, sit down at my desk, and check emails and Slack notifications.

9:30

Development Work

I focus on development tasks in the morning.

When I run into issues, I sometimes jump on a call to consult with teammates.

11:30

Internal Meeting

We share progress updates and align on next steps as a team.

12:00

Lunch Break

I have lunch, and if I have extra time, I sometimes play ball with my child.

It’s a refreshing break that’s unique to working from home.

13:00

Wrap-up & Demo Preparation

In the afternoon, I continue my work and prepare for an upcoming demo for a new client.

16:30

Client Meeting

Before the meeting, I prepare a small snack—recently, my favorite is banana cinnamon flambé.

It helps me get into the right mindset and keeps my child calm as well.

Then I join an online meeting with the client to align on requirements and improvements.

18:00

Finish Work

I’m heading to a J-League match today, so I wrap things up early and switch off work mode before going to the stadium.

Great work today!
